Budding Talent: Young songstress shares musical gift (The Maryville Daily Times)- Topic: public speaking
Punxsutawney Phil will have to wait until Saturday to see (or not see) his shadow, but students in Blount, Anderson and Knox counties will have a chance to explore future career paths Friday when they "shadow" workplace mentors as part of the 10th annual. A total of 40 young people competed at the Blount County 4-H Public Speaking contest held Jan. Members of Youth Leadership Blount became aware of community service opportunities that could have a lasting effect on the community, through visitations to places like the Red Cross, DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee and the Maryville Health Care. Douglas Cherokee Head Start is looking for 3- and 4-year-olds for extended hours program at Eagleton Middle School. read more
