College lab helps with public speaking skills (Casper Star-Tribune)

Whether it's preparing for a job interview, or getting a speech ready for class, the Oral Communications Lab at Casper College can help quell those public-speaking nerves. The lab is run by Hurless and her colleagues, all of whom have volunteered their time to staff the lab. The idea behind the lab was the desire to provide services to anyone who needs a little help when it comes to public speaking, said communications instructor Gretchen Wheeler. Wheeler said the idea for the lab came from Hurless, who worked in the University of Wyoming's communications lab as a graduate student. read more
