Funny Wedding Speeches

by Denetor Ectellion

Wedding speeches will always have a major role at any wedding. Not only do they
bring life to the wedding they are a way for the speaker to give forth
informative details of the bride and groom not only as individuals but as a
couple as well.

Funny wedding speeches will get the attention of all concerned and if delivered
properly your speech will allow your audience to see the bride and groom in a
whole different light.

Comical wedding speeches are not always easy to give unless you are a natural
comedian which is why people will hire professionals to write their speech.
Being too formal when delivering your wedding speech will bore most people.
Kick it up a notch and find some humor in your bride and groom and talk about
it.

Try to be casual yet amusing; it is easy when you have a good relationship with
them. Write about how you met them, if they are relatives; tell something about
how they were when they were kids. If you are a colleague at work relate some
anecdotes of your time at work together with them. How they go about their
everyday work life is a good theme. If you were a schoolmate, you can write about their scholastic achievements or
lack of it. Anything goes actually, as long as you do not insult them. Just be
funny in a nice way and your speech will be applauded well.

The best man will always deliver a speech if not the most comical of all
speeches. He will either be a blood relative or a very close friend of the
groom. Discuss little facts such as how you know him and how he and his bride
met. You shouldn't have any troubles seeing the more comical sides to the
bride and groom and how they came to be as a married couple.

Some of the more tearful speeches will come from the mother's of the wedding
because it is very difficult for any mother to let their child go. As the mother
you to can add some humor in because out of everyone there you will have more
stories to choose from than anyone else.

Last but not least is the most anticipated speech of any wedding…the father's speech
because it is he that will formally thank everyone for witness the wonderful
occasion and to welcome the newly wed into the family. As the father of the
bride your speech will be the longest, add some humor by giving forth the expected
warnings to the groom.

No matter who you are to the bride or groom your speech will be a success by
adding bits of humor into it. Choose your stories well; you don't want to come
off sounding mean and nasty. A successful humorous wedding speech will be fondly
remembered by all concerned if it is well prepared.
