NU students excel at FFA speech contest in Etna (The Union)- About: public speaking

Madison Easley and Samantha Fisher participated in the creed speaking category, Ben Granholm in prepared speech, and Zoë Toffaleti and I competed in extemporaneous public speaking. Students in the creed speaking contest were done with their preliminary round first, and both NU students made it into the final round. The awards presentation started with the creed contest, where Madison Easley won first place and Samantha Fisher placed fourth. Those who place in the top three in each division will participate in the superior region speech contest on March 20 at California State University, Chico. The top four individuals in the regional contests will compete at the state FFA speaking finals April 17 in Fresno, just prior to the California State FFA Leadership Conference. read more
