Overcome Fear Of Public Speaking With EFT
People that suffer from the fear of public speaking will admit that they fear this activity worse than death itself. And, a large number of people share this phobia in our society. Once upon a time I was one of those people but overcame my fear by becoming a member of a Toastmasters club. Toastmasters is an international organization and there is likely a club in your own town. They've been around for more than 80 years and have helped countless people improve their ability to speak in public.
Whether or not you have a fear of public speaking or simply just want to improve your communication skills, I encourage you to check out Toastmasters. Essentially, a Toastmasters club will have anywhere from 10 to 50 members that meet once a week or twice a month in a supportive environment to practice speaking in public.
Most of the members were once fearful of speaking in public themselves. The meetings follow a structured format but it varies from one club to the next. Each new member follows a speaking program that is designed to help them grow in their confidence and ability. It took me a year of attending regular meetings before I felt really comfortable speaking in front of a group but it was well worth it.
If this seems like too long of a wait for you to overcome your fear of public speaking, I have a solution for you. First off, I wish I knew about this way back when I realized that I needed help in this area but, the technique was only being developed at the time. The technique that I'm referring to is called EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques and it has been effective at helping thousands of people the world over, not only with phobias but also weight loss, relationship issues, pain management and more.
Emotional Freedom Techniques was brought to mainstream in the early 90's by a gentleman named Gary Craig who trained thousands of others in using this technique. One of his most accomplished students is Dr. Carol Look.
Carol is a very popular EFT practitioner and is one of the few worldwide that has reached the Master practitioner level. She has developed many successful training programs using this remarkable technique and one of them is geared specifically to helping people overcome their fear of public speaking. So, if you want to fast track your success in public speaking, you owe it to yourself to check out her program.
