Social Services director earns humanitarian award (Lee's Summit Journal)- public speaking
For Geneva High, executive director of Lee's Summit Social Services, helping people came naturally, and she has spent much of her life doing just that. High was awarded recently for her longtime commitment to helping others by being named the 2008 Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Lee's Summit Human Relations Commission. The recipients of the award are selected based on their commitment to improving the state of human relations within Lee's Summit, according to a news release. The Lee's Summit Human Relations Commission promotes mutual understanding and respect among all social, racial, religious, cultural and ethnic groups in Lee's Summit, according to a news release. read more
