Students learn to like public speaking (Billings Gazette)

As a member of the Tower Toastmasters Club, Ayers is offering students at Lewis and Clark Middle School some of the skills and confidence they need to do what she did. Seven students in the school's Indian Club joined Ayers and other members of Tower Toastmasters during their noon meeting to kick off the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program. Mikayla Ereaux, 13, said she was scared of getting up in front of a group and giving a short talk about herself, but after watching Toastmasters members enjoy taking turns at the lectern, she didn't think it would be that bad. Through the Toastmasters youth program, the students learn leadership skills, organization and poise as well as how to speak in front of a group. read more
