When to Memorize (& When Not to) in Public Speaking Posted By : The Voice Lady

If you memorize your entire presentation, without note cards or a visual aid of some sort, and you happen to forget where you are, then you are lost. With a memorized presentation, there is a very good chance that you will sound rote or memorized in which you will be speaking at your audience, not to them. The body of your presentation is where you either provide information for your audience, much like that of someone lecturing, or you try to call your listeners to some type of action; i.
